Today level 4B learnt about metric conversations. We had to figure out how much mm can fit in a cm and how many cm can fit in a meter and more. Then we had follow up task to complete on a sheet similar the to the work we did with Teacher here is a photo of the work sheet:)
Team tui’s collaborative maths/measuring
Today for maths team Tui had to buddy up and to make a shape and measure the perimeter of the shape, and across the arc. We tried using string but ended up using a ruler. We found out there are different ways of measuring.
That was matariki
On the first couple of days of term 3 Team Tui has been doing some writing on Matariki and learning about the history behind it.
For our writing, we had to make a poem using our 5 senses which are “SMELL”, “FEEL” “TASTE”, “HEAR” and “SEE”. First of all my brain didn’t want to cooperate and just wanted to go to sleep but I managed to finish so I’m happy. |
Room 13s Kelly sport session
Today room 13 went out for Kelly sports to learn the different basics of rugby and to increase our confidence for this week’s tournament. The drills we did were learning how to scrum, tackle, pass, and how to play the ball. After we learned the following skills we played a game of rugby that was very entertaining to see the girls going against the boys. I was surprised to see how good the girls were at rugby.
Today I had lots of fun playing with my friends. I gained a lot of confidence in my tackling. Can’t wait to do it again next week. We also had to include our Whakatauki of the week which is (Tama tu Tama ora Tama noho Tama mate) He who stands lives he who sits perishes.
Also a big thank you to coach Tray and Deon for making this possible:)
